Trusting God When Life Doesn’t Make Sense
Have you ever found yourself in a situation that made absolutely no sense? Maybe you knew God had called you to something, yet the circumstances around you seemed confusing or even impossible.
Matthew 1:18 introduces us to one of the most extraordinary moments in history. Mary was engaged to Joseph, faithfully preparing for marriage, when she was found to be pregnant—not through human means, but by the Holy Spirit.From an earthly perspective, nothing about this situation appeared logical. It brought questions, uncertainty, and the risk of public shame. Yet behind the confusion was the greatest miracle the world would ever know: God Himself was fulfilling His promise to send the Savior.God often works in ways we don’t immediately understand. His plans may challenge our expectations, stretch our faith, and require us to trust Him before we see the outcome.Mary could not have predicted how God would use her life. Joseph couldn’t yet see the full picture either. But God was writing a story far greater than either of them could imagine.The same is true for us.When your prayers seem unanswered…When your path feels uncertain…When God’s timing doesn’t match your own…Remember that God is still working, even when you can’t yet see His purpose.Faith isn’t having every answer—it’s trusting the One who does.
Life Application
If you’re walking through a confusing season today, don’t assume God has abandoned you. Sometimes the greatest blessings begin in circumstances that don’t make sense. Trust God’s character even when you can’t trace His plan.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding me that Your plans are always greater than my understanding. Help me trust You when life feels uncertain and when I cannot see what You’re doing. Strengthen my faith to believe that You are working behind the scenes for Your glory and my good. Just as You fulfilled Your promise through Jesus, help me trust that You will be faithful to every promise You have made.
