Ephesians 3:20

Ephesians 3:20 – God Can Do More Than You Imagine

Scripture:”Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.” — Ephesians 3:20 (KJV)

When Our Dreams Feel Too SmallHave you ever prayed for something and wondered if God was really listening? Maybe you’ve asked Him for guidance, healing, provision, or a breakthrough in a difficult situation. Sometimes our prayers can feel limited because we can only imagine solutions based on what we can see.Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that God is not limited by our imagination, our circumstances, or our abilities. He is able to do far more than we could ever ask or even think.Paul didn’t simply say God can do “more.” He used powerful words: exceeding abundantly above all. In other words, God’s power goes beyond our biggest dreams and highest expectations.God’s Power Is UnlimitedWe often approach life with a human perspective. We see obstacles, closed doors, financial struggles, broken relationships, and unanswered questions. God sees opportunities for His glory.Think about some of the miracles throughout Scripture:- God parted the Red Sea for Moses.- God provided food from heaven for Israel.- Jesus fed thousands with a few loaves and fish.- Jesus raised the dead. The same God who performed those miracles is still working today. His power has not changed.According to the Power That Works in UsOne amazing part of this verse is that God’s power is not distant. Paul says it works in us. Through the Holy Spirit, God empowers believers to overcome challenges, grow in faith, and accomplish His purpose. This means that when God calls us to something, He also provides the strength to do it.Trusting God Beyond Our UnderstandingSometimes God’s answers don’t come in the way we expect. His plans are often bigger and better than our own. What feels like a delay may actually be God preparing something greater. When we trust Him, we learn that His timing is perfect and His blessings are often beyond what we originally requested.

A Prayer

Heavenly Father,Thank You for being a God whose power has no limits. Help me trust You when I cannot see the outcome. Remind me that You are able to do far more than I could ever ask or imagine. Strengthen my faith and help me rely on Your power working within me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Final Thought

Whatever challenge you’re facing today, remember that God specializes in the impossible. Don’t limit Him to what makes sense in your mind. Pray boldly, trust deeply, and expect God to work in ways that exceed your expectations.Because the God of Ephesians 3:20 is still doing “exceedingly abundantly above all” today.
